UNION CITY, Ind. – Tri High began tournament play on Tuesday as the eighth-ranked Titans beat Blue River 42-34 in the Class 1A Union City Sectional.
The Titans (19-4) face Union (1-19) in Friday’s semifinals at 6 p.m.
Defending champ Union City (9-13) plays Randolph Southern (17-6) in the second contest on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The championship game is set for Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Tri led 10-2 at the first stop and then 26-9 at the intermission. The Titans maintained their advantage at the end of third with a 33-21 margin.
Payton Moore led the Titans with 17 points.
Lauren Bouslog tossed in 16 points.
Auburn Harvey had six points, while Averi Phelps finished with three.
