COWAN, Ind. – The long ball proved to be the difference for the Tri High softball team on Thursday as the top-ranked Titans beat Cowan 18-1.
Destiny Taylor, Kaley Harrison and Kierstyn Conyers blasted home runs for the Titans.
The Titans had 16 hits with Harrison, Conyers and Lauren Bouslog leading the way with three each.
Taylor and Chloe Gentry had two hits apiece.
Conyers knocked in five runs, while Harrison, Bouslog and Gentry all drove in three runs.
Payton Moore went the distance in the five-inning affair. Moore (7-1) gave up an unearned run on a hit with four strikeouts.
The Titans (8-1) entertain Shenandoah on Monday.
