UNION CITY, Ind. – Mackenzie Peggs had three hits and scored four runs as Tri defeated Union 11-2 to claim the Class 1A Sectional title at Union City on Thursday.
Payton Moore also had three hits and knocked in two runs for the Titans (15-5), who play at Wes-Del (12-12) in Tuesday’s regional 7 p.m.
Kierstyn Conyers had two hits and two RBI, while Kirsten Falck knocked in a pair of runs.
Abbi Coffman limited the Rockets to just one hit as she struck out eight.
Thursday’s win marked the third straight season the Titans have won a sectional championship.
