LEWISVILLE, Ind. – The Tri girls basketball team appeared to be in trouble on Monday night, but a rally in the second half gave the Titans a 44-41 victory over Union.
“I’m very proud of the ladies,” Tri Head Coach Jeff Miller said. “They just didn’t quit.”
The Rockets led 18-7 at the half, Miller had a plan.
“We just kept playing one possession at a time,” he said.
The result was a 25-25 tie at the end of the third period, which provided the boost into the final stanza.
Addy Edwards led the Titans with 14 points, while Karlee Winkhart tossed in eight.
Payton Moore grabbed 10 rebounds for the Titans, who are now 13-6.
The Titans (3-3) finish their Tri-Eastern Conference slate with a visit from Centerville (4-12, 1-4) on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell 58-53 to Winchester at home on Monday.
