MT. SUMMIT, Ind. – A big fourth quarter proved to be the difference on Tuesday as the Tri High boys basketball team fell 72-60 to Blue River in the first round of Class 1A sectional action hosted by the Vikings.
Blue River led 12-10 after the first quarter before the Titans rallied to build a 35-25 advantage by the intermission.
Tri High was able to hang on to a 43-42 lead at the third stop, but the Vikings out scored the Titans 30-17 in the final stanza to come away with the victory.
The Titans had four players in double figures as Elijah Davis led the way with 15 points to go with five assists.
Nick Wilson had 14 points and team-high totals of six assists and four steals.
Kyler Burchett added 12 points, while Masen Phelps finished with 10 points and five rebounds. Alex Melton grabbed five rebounds.
The Titans end the season at 7-15 under first-year head coach Matt Lacy.
