UNION CITY, Ind. – Union City Head Boys Basketball Coach Dustin Baldwin is set to begin his fourth season with the Indians.
“We have an athletic group with a good balance of guys with experience and newcomers,” Baldwin said. “They are starting to figure things out and work as a team.”
Senior Isaac Davison was All-Tri-Eastern Conference a year ago after scoring 13.1 points per game with 4.0 rebounds a contest. He also handed out a team-high 4.7 assists per game.
Another senior, Bailey Hughes, scored 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game last year. Junior Isaac Jefferis averaged 4.5 points a game last season as the Indians finished 10-12 and 2-5 in the conference.
Cody Purdin is the other senior for the Indians and he is joined by juniors Aaron Foster and Tyler Thornhill.
The sophomores on the roster are Zack Bradbury, Chase Jefferis, Kayled Leedom, Trevor Spence and Trevor Thompson.
The Indians open the season at South Adams on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Union City visits Winchester for its first TEC contest of the season on Friday, Dec. 11.
“We have such a good conference,” Baldwin said. “There are some good teams and you are going to have to be ready to play every night.”
