UNION CITY, Ind. – The Union City softball team dropped a 5-2 decision on Monday to crosstown rival Mississinawa Valley.
Jodi Carpenter led the Indians with two hits as she knocked in a run.
Katie Reichard added a hit and one RBI.
Ellie Kerns, Shelby King, Kahlee Dowler, Savannah Brewer and Shyanne Mays each had one hit.
Dowler tossed a complete game with five strikeouts.
