SELMA, Ind. – The Union City girls basketball team fell behind early on Saturday and couldn’t recover as the Indians were defeated by Wapahani 47-25.
Justiss Cantu led the with 10 points against the Raiders (17-4).
Baylee Hartman finished with seven points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Courtney Wise added seven points and seven rebounds.
The Raiders led 14-5 after one period and built a 20-9 advantage by the intermission to take control of the contest.
Union City (16-4) entertains Ansonia on Tuesday before the Indians visit Hagerstown on Friday night for a chance to claim the outright title in the Tri-Eastern Conference.
