UNION CITY, Ind. – Union City had four players in double figures on Saturday (Nov. 7) as the Indians defeated Southern Wells 76-34.
Courtney Wise led the Indians (1-0) with 18 points against the Raiders (0-2).
Kelsey Zimmers added 14 points with four 3-pointers. Justiss Cantu tossed in 13 points to go with her nine assists, while Baylee Hartman recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Indians jumped all over the Raiders as they grabbed a 21-2 advantage after one period.
In the second quarter, Union City continued its run as the Indians led 44-11 by the intermission.
Bre Partin led the Union City junior varsity with 16 points in a 41-22 win. Aliyah Gutierrez added 11 points.
Union City (1-0) visits Seton on Friday, Nov. 13. Only a varsity game is scheduled.
