LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County boys basketball team won its second straight game on Saturday with a 69-51 victory over Franklin County.
“Our defensive focus was good,” Union County Head Coach Mark Detweiler said. “We are doing good job of staying in front of guys and challenging shots.”
At the other end of the floor against the Wildcats (6-4), Union County shot 50 percent for the game making 24-of-48 shots including a 9-of-18 effort behind the 3-point line.
The Patriots built a 38-20 advantage by halftime and were able to maintain its lead the rest of the way.
Logan Sanford topped Union County with 17 points as nine players scored for the Patriots.
Dillon Miller and Breyden Wicker tossed in nine points, while Preston Scott and Nevada Lakes added eight each. Cameron Donovan finished with six.
Union County (7-4) is at Shenandoah on Friday, Jan. 15.
