FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Union County’s offense came to life late in Thursday’s 7-2 win over Northeastern.
Conner Bray hit a two-run homer in the third inning of the Tri-Eastern Conference game to put the Knights ahead before the Patriots rallied with three runs in the fourth to take the lead for good.
Zander Kottka, Nate Webb and Leighton Schulte had two hits each for the Patriots. Preston Scott knocked in two runs. Cameron Donovan and Blake Fields added doubles.
For the Knights, Tanner Wilson and Nate Fletcher had a singles.
Joey Weller earned the victory for the Patriots as he fanned 14. Mason Miller picked up the save.
