LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County girls soccer team scored four times in the first half on Saturday as the Patriots went on to defeat Connersville 6-1.
Abby Fields scored three of the goals in the opening period with Ann Marie Persinger picking up the final tally on an assist from Kyla Miller.
In the second half, Union County Ally Gaebel scored on a corner that was kicked by Fields. Kendall Jones finished the scoring for the Patriots with an assist from Megan Imhoff.
Hannah Soper had eight saves for the Patriots before Miller took over and recorded three saves.
Union County visits Franklin County on Tuesday.
