CENTERVILLE, Ind. – The Union County baseball team had its season come to an end on Wednesday as the Patriots fell 19-1 to Knightstown in the opener of the Class 2A Centerville Sectional.
Defending sectional champ Knightstown scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Preston Scott scored Union County’s run in the third.
The Patriots finished at 18-9.
Knightstown plays Winchester in Thursday’s second contest after Centerville and Northeastern meet at 5 p.m.
The title contest is scheduled for Monday.
