Union County Takes Care of Golden Bears

Union CountyLIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County softball team won its seventh in a row on Thursday as the Patriots beat Monroe Central 10-2.

It was also the third straight day that Union County has won this week.

The Patriots scored five times in the first and then added five more runs in the third to put the game away.

Tanner Henry led the Patriots with two hits, while Tara Williams knocked in three runs and had a homer.

Fayth Hill also had two RBI.

Danielle Franklin went the distance on the mound for the Patriots giving up four hits with seven strikeouts.

The Patriots (13-5) entertain Preble Shawnee on Monday.
