LIBERTY, Ind. – The Union County boys basketball team had two players in double figures on Friday night as the Patriots claimed a 59-44 victory over Tri.
Logan Sanford led the way for Union County in the Tri-Eastern Conference win with 23 points, while Cameron Donovan had a career-high 17 points.
“We got off to a slow start,” Union County Head Coach Mark Detweiler said. “But we got the tempo where we wanted it in the second and third quarters.
Union County led 12-11 after one period before taking a 34-23 advantage at the intermission. By the end of the third frame, the Patriots were up 51-32.
Kaleb Harrison led Tri with 18 points and Carson Cox added 13.
The Patriots (9-5, 2-1) are on the road Saturday at North Decatur, while Tri (5-8, 1-2) visits Daleville.
