FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Centerville’s Reese VanDevender scored a pair of touchdowns on Friday night as the Bulldogs defeated Northeastern 14-0 in a critical Tri-Eastern Conference affair.
VanDevender’s first touchdown came on a 13-yard run at the 8:49 mark of the opening quarter, which turned out to be the only score of the first half.
Bulldogs were able to put the game away in the fourth quarter when VanDevender sprinted 41 yards for the final tally with 6:27 remaining in the contest.
With the win, the Bulldogs are now 5-1 and 4-0 in the league as they head into next Friday’s Homecoming match-up against TEC co-leader Hagerstown (5-1, 4-0).
The Knights (3-3, 2-2) are at Union County (3-3, 2-2) next week.
