MIDDLETOWN, Ind. – The Winchester girls basketball team picked up a victory over a ranked team on Saturday as the Falcons defeated No. 9 Shenandoah 53-42.
The Falcons (2-1) had two players reach double digits in scoring.
Liz Pegg led the way with 19 points, while grabbing a dozen rebounds.
Coming off her 31-point effort against Wapahani on Wednesday, Mariah Roberts added 18 points.
Becca Neville tossed in seven points for the Falcons and led her team with 16 rebounds.
Macee Rudy led the Raiders (0-1) with 10 points.
Winchester won the JV contest 41-28 as Shelby Miller led the Falcons with 16 points.
The Falcons visit at Adams Central on Tuesday.
