PORTLAND, Ind. – The Winchester boys tennis team picked up a 5-0 win over Jay County on Thursday.
Aaron Wallace defeated Garrett Rodgers 7-5, 6-1 in the top singles spot. At No. 2, Trey Graft beat Payton Heniser 6-4, 6-1. Mason Melton won over Connor Bonter 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3.
In doubles play, Michael Georgi and Drake Moody outlasted Luke Weaver and Kyler Hudson 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 1. In the second position, Justin McAllister and Thadd Legear defeated Gabe Blankenship and Xavier Niode 6-0, 6-2.
Winchester won the JV match 3-1.
The Golden Falcons are at Lincoln for a Tri-Eastern Conference match on Monday.
