WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester boys basketball team won its fifth straight game on Friday night as the Falcons defeated Tri 77-60.

The Falcons had four players in double digits during the Tri-Eastern Conference affair in the Winchester Fieldhouse.

Arick Miller led the way with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Michael Georgi tossed in 15 points to go with four steals.

Elias Gates added 13 points and four rebounds. Kiante Enis also finished with 13 points.

“It was great to see us get off to a great start offensively,” Winchester Head Coach Matt Fine said. “Both Gates and Georgi stepped into their shots with confidence and we need that from them.”

“Cullen Hall did a nice job of attacking the basket and finished with nine points,” Fine added.

Although the Falcons has their top offensive output of the year, they surrendered their most points of the season.

“We’ve been solid defensively most of the year,” Fine said. I thought we allowed Tri to get inside on us and score some easy baskets.”

Kaleb Harrison led the Titans with 17 points and Carson Cox had 15 points.

David O’Neil was the third Tri player in double figures with a dozen points.

Alex Melton finished with six points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Winchester (10-5, 2-2) travels to Centerville on Wednesday for a TEC contest, while Tri (5-10, 1-3) entertains Eastern Hancock on Thursday.
