WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Winchester boys basketball team opened the season on Friday with a 34-33 loss to Randolph Southern.
Boo Enis led the Golden Falcons with 13 points and a pair of steals.
Jordan Key tossed in five points, while grabbing two rebounds to go with with two blocks.
Isaiah Jordan-Miller added four points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Nathaniel Dunica finished with four points, four rebounds and two steals.
Winchester built a 16-8 advantage in the second quarter before the Rebels bounced back to take a 20-18 lead by halftime.
After three quarters, Winchester was up 28-27.
However, the Golden Falcons had the ball in the final moments with a chance to win, but they couldn’t convert the opportunity.
In the JV contest, Wayde Sickels led Winchester to a 54-44 win with 17 points. Payton Sparks finished with 13.
The Golden Falcons (0-1) visit Delta (0-0) on Tuesday.
