COWAN, Ind. – A big second half was the difference for the Winchester girls basketball team in Saturday’s regular season finale as the Falcons won 69-37 at Cowan.
The Falcons led 32-27 at halftime before taking control in the second half by outscoring the Blackhawks by 27 points.
Mariah Roberts led the Falcons with 22 points against the Blackhawks (4-14).
Becca Neville finished with 12 points and a team-high 14 rebounds for the Falcons as they evened their season mark at 11-11.
Shelby Miller and Liz Pegg tossed in eight points each. Miller added 13 rebounds, while Pegg grabbed nine rebounds.
Winchester won the JV affair 55-29 as the Falcons completed the season 20-1.
Riley Addington led Winchester with 15 points as the Falcons won their 15th straight.
Winchester’s next opponent will be determined on Monday when the sectional tournament pairings are announced.
