CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Winchester swept a doubleheader from Centerville on Saturday.
The Golden Falcons won the Tri-Eastern Conference affair 6-4 in nine innings before taking the second contest 11-1 in five frames.
Winchester scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth to give Glenallen Anderson the victory.
Anderson went the distance with six strikeouts. Offensively, he had two hits and drove in three runs.
For Centerville, Nolan Witte led the way with three hits. Oran VanSkyock had two RBI and Chris Pritchett had one.
Jacob Lahey had three hits in the second game for Winchester, which scored seven times in the first inning to take control.
Tanner Steveson, Ross Culy and Torin Hendrickson all had two RBI.
Lukas Mills limited the Bulldogs to four hits as he fanned three to get the win in the second affair.
VanSkyock had two hits for the Bulldogs.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday.
Winchester (3-7, 2-4) entertains Cowan, while Centerville (3-6, 1-3) faces Seton at McBride Stadium.
